Dear
Alpacas Magazine
Enthusiast,
If this is the first time you are being introduced to alpacas, I’m sure you will enjoy this exciting autumn issue of
Alpacas Magazine.
It is the Fiber, Fashion and Alpaca Owners and Breeders Association’s National Conference
results issue… one to keep for future reference! Throughout this issue you will see ads and articles featuring
some of the best alpacas and alpaca farms in our industry today… members who demonstrate their support
of the alpaca industry through their advertising programs in our Association’s magazine.
Please check out the 2012 National Conference Halter and Fleece Show Results and note the many awards in
this issue, proof positive of our industry’s excellent breeding programs.
AOBA sponsors National Alpaca Farm Days every year on the last weekend in September. This year’s event
was a HUGE success and gave thousands and thousands of people across North America the opportunity to visit
nearly 450 farms in the U.S. and Canada for the first time. If you didn’t get to visit an alpaca farm during NAFD,
visit
www.alpacainfo.comfor a list of farms near you. Members of our industry truly enjoy showing
their beautiful animals to others and explaining how alpaca farming works.
We hope that you enjoy this issue of
Alpacas Magazine
and visit our Association website at
www.alpacainfo.comto read about more alpaca farms, learn more about our wonderful industry and enjoy our precious alpacas!
Sincerely,
Libby M. Forstner, M.B.A.,
President, Board of Directors
