This year, the Symposium featured
Dr. David Anderson presenting a range
of topics, including several sessions on
surgical management which had been
requested by the university faculty and
staff. Dr. Jane Vaughan from Australia,
an expert in camelid reproduction,
artificial insemination, and embryo
transfer, spoke on advanced reproductive
technologies and camelid management.
Dr. Pamela Walker from Ohio covered
a range of camelid care topics, Dr.
Michelle Ing from California
presented videos from her reproductive
endoscopy studies, and camelid
training expert Cathy Spalding from
Washington discussed camelid behavior
and cues. Several university faculty and
researchers presented information
about toxicology, camelid disease
research, and other topics. The incom-
parable Dr. Murray Fowler continued
his support of the Symposium by
sharing his knowledge and expertise
with attendees.
The Symposium is held in January
each year, with dates posted on the
website by spring and the full schedule
and registration available online in
