Champion Alpacas to Compete in Syracuse
Syracuse, NY — Alpaca Show Management Services, Empire Alpaca Association, and New England Alpaca Owners and Breeders Association are excited to announce the Alpaca Showtacular coming to New York State Fairgrounds November 16–17. The show will take place in the TSC Exhibit Center building.
The show is a combination of the Empire Alpaca Extravaganza, NEAOBA Fall Halter Show, and the Northeast Alpaca Expo and will feature more than 150 alpacas brought by 30 farms representing eight states.
Alpacas will be featured in the show ring competition, comprised of classes judging conformation and fleece quality in many categories. The show’s judges are coming from Germany, New York, and Pennsylvania.
Vendors and farm displays will sell the latest alpaca fashions and hand-crafted items including clothing, home goods made from alpaca fiber, alpaca-themed clothing, alpaca art, alpaca tack products, plush animals, and more.
Show hours are:
Saturday, November 16: 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Sunday, November 17: 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
Admission is free.
About Alpaca Show Management Services (ASMS)
ASMS assists alpaca organizations with running successful alpaca shows. Many organizations may find it difficult to find volunteers to perform this duty and can contact ASMS to handle this task. Services include but are not limited to:
- Creation of Forms
- Selection of Judges
- Selection of Superintendents
- Control & Aid in Registration
- Organize Volunteers
- Operate as Barn Manager
- Control all aspects of on-site management
- Final clean-up details
